Thoughts

Many memories of Derrick from a teenager to now ! Discussions with my father about Decca, what Derrick's job in Vietnam entailed, plus of course family life. Our last memories of Derrick in 2016, when we visited him and Cath in Perth, was his love of nature, he always used to write in his Christmas card about the wildlife in his garden and we saw this in 2016. He also gave us a wonderful bag of tangerines from the tree in his garden, he was very proud of his bumper crop that year. I was told by Derrick not to call him Uncle Derrick, but to me that is what he was - a very kind Uncle... Rest in peace with Andrew. With love Barbara (and Jeff) xxx

Our Grandad was very passionate about raising funds and awareness into the research of Muscular Dystrophy after he and my Nan (Catherine) lost their son, and my dearest Mum lost her brother, Andrew Phillips, at the age of 12 to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. His greatest wish was that if you could, in any way, make a small donation to the association to commemorate his life it would be so greatly appreciated and make a big difference to the lives of others. He was a wonderful man, and will be dearly missed. We love you Grandad, please give Andrew a big hug from us all Love you always Katie and Sally xxx
